02 / Our club
Rooted in sport. Built around people.
Buenavista grew from a horse stable into an international club for tennis, padel and wellbeing. Since 1998, every court, class and gathering has followed the same idea: sport feels better when everyone belongs.
1998
From stable to club
The land was a quiet horse stable in Benissa. At the end of 1998 Juan bought the property and the first tennis chapter began.
2000
Federated courts
On 1 July 2000 the first two courts became federated, so the club could host official competition.
2002
Padel arrives
The first padel court, a walled track, opened the club to a faster, more social game.
2006
Official licence
The club received its licence and kept growing as a recognised home for tennis and padel on the Costa Blanca.
2015
The house becomes a studio
Juan’s former home was converted into a studio for Pilates and wellness, without losing the club’s older character.
2020
Glass on the padel courts
Glass walls replaced the old enclosure, bringing the courts in line with modern padel.
2024
Sarah and Adam
On 22 January 2024 Sarah and Adam took over, with a plan to care for the place and widen the welcome.
Sarah and Adam spent two years looking for the right club. They chose Buenavista for the light, the land between sea and mountain, and a community that already felt familiar. Adam has played tennis for as long as he can remember. Together they are opening the courts, the studio and the calendar to every age and level.
