Meet Our Club's History

Before 1998

Before becoming a tennis club, the land was originally a peaceful horse stable nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Benissa, Costa Blanca. At the end of 1998 , the stable was transformed into a vibrant tennis club, preserving its natural charm while introducing modern sports facilities.

December 9, 1998 → July 1, 2000 (First 2 federated courts)

Juan, the last owner of the club, purchased the property on 09.12.1998 and took the first major step toward turning it into a premier sports destination. Under his guidance, the first two club’s courts became federated on 01.07.2000, marking an important milestone in the club’s history. This move elevated the profile of Club de Tenis Buenavista, enabling it to host official competitions and attract more serious players.

2002 → First Padel Court

In 2002, another significant development took place when Club de Tenis Buenavista built its first padel court, a wall track. This addition reflected the growing popularity of pádel in Spain, and it allowed the club to diversify its offerings and attract new members who were eager to try this dynamic sport.

2006 → Club obtains its license

In 2006, Club de Tenis Buenavista achieved another important milestone by obtaining its official license. This marked a new chapter in the club’s development, further legitimizing its operations and enabling it to continue growing as a recognized sports venue. With its licensed status, the club was able to expand its range of activities and attract even more players from across the region, enhancing its position as a key hub for tennis and pádel on the Costa Blanca.

2015 → Juan’s house turned into Studio

In 2015, Juan’s former home was converted into a studio, offering space for Pilates and wellness activities. This transformation added a fresh dynamic to the club while preserving its connection to its past.

2020 → Glass on Padel Courts

In 2020, the club upgraded its padel courts by installing glass walls, giving the courts a modern and professional look. This improvement not only enhanced the playing experience but also aligned the club with the latest standards in pádel court design, making it even more appealing to players of all levels.
